Just left Gordon’s with a Gingerbread Egg Nog Latte, and oh my, it is some kind delicious! Thank you for the recommendation and for exceeding my expectations ???
Mediocre service and food. Was not impressed on taste, service or really anything for charging higher than anyone in town. Doesn’t match quality of pricing. Wouldn’t reccomend unless it’s for convenience
Service was lovely, space was organized and clean, great music playing. It was a great vibe, and very well stocked. Meats, Cheese, everything you need. Great spot!
A nice spot - could be so much better if it hadn’t become the hangout for people who spend far too long at tables on their laptops, nursing coffees. Can’t believe the owner is happy turning away business while people use it like their office/lounge.
Seems the last few times when I plan to shop here the store appears to been picked over. Not much variety of produce and the meat selection, no ground beef, 2 steaks to choose from. Very disappointed to drive from out of town and not be able to purchase the basics.
Gordon's is a great addition to Cwood. Nice, bright atmosphere (for the most part -- some of the cashiers are a bit gloomy), good selection of food offerings, upbeat cafe attached to the grocery store, great butcher. My one complaint is that they are not paying enough attention to their perishables (fruits, veg, bread). At least 5 times we have bought perishables from Gordon's which ended up being spoiled once we opened them up (e.g. avocados that were dark grey inside, white fur on raspberries, mould on bread and cheese, badly bruised bananas, soft inedible watermelon etc.). We finally complained over the watermelon but the staffer we spoke with was utterly disinterested. No offer to swap for another. No refund. Worst of all, no apology. This store could truly be great but, to get to that level, they need a much better handle on their inventory management of perishable goods. I truly hope that they work out these growing pains as we want them to succeed. P.S. after so many bad experiences with their seriously not-fresh fruit/veg, and after complaining to the staffer about the watermelon, I wrote to the management via their website's online inquiry form. No one has responded as yet and that was 6 weeks ago. Not great customer service.
Congratulations on a job well done! Everything is exactly how it should be, amazing atmosphere, parking is right outside , cafe looks amazing. Will certainly be supporting a local business!
